The Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration is hosting a Twelfth Night Celebration on Saturday, January 8th at 5:30 pm at the new Edwards Interfaith Chapel and Community Center. The event is free and open to the public and marks the end of the Christmas season and celebrates the arrival of the three wise men visiting the Christ child.
"This event is a reflective way to end the holiday season and begin the new year as a community," says Father Brooks Keith of the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration "And what better place to do it than our new Chapel and Community Center," says Father Brooks.
The event is special and fun with a tradition of creating unique table settings for the dinner. There is a history of different parishioners doing themed table decorations from the extremely ornate to the fun tables just for kids. "There is a lively spirit of creativity and fun within the congregation to design something special for each other," states Bonnie Marlette, Director of Parish Life. "It is one of my favorite events of the year," states Bonnie.
The public is welcome and anyone planning to attend is asked to RSVP to the Episcopal office at 970-476-0618.
